I Want you Close
I want you close
not the way birds nestle into one another,
touching,
heads buried in necks,
wrapped in feather.
No.
Nothing like that.
I want you inside the marrow of my love,
inside the body of my body
completely taken by shadow,
awestruck by light.
I want holy disappearance.
Time that dissolves.
The way you find a moment
within a moment
within a moment
and it stays forever
impressed into your being.
Long after you and I are gone
I want impermanence,
that other kind of forever.
So I’ll say it now,
for now,
for our now.
For some small sake,
it needs to be said:
now.
I want you close.
